Meet Fr. Francis

Who is Fr. Francis?

Fr. Francis Wardega is an Anglican priest, canon missioner to Africa for the Missionary Society of St. John, Clinton Township, Michigan. He is married to Patricia who has also traveled to Africa and to the Philippines. Together, they have six children, all grown and out on their own, and twelve grandchildren.

Fr Francis is a graduate of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wickliffe, Ohio. He has an earned bachelor’s and an earned Master’s degree from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio. He has done further graduate study at Case Western Reserve Univerisity (Cleveland, OH) and at the College of William and Mary (Williamsburg, VA). He is a certified Christian Counselor from the National Christian Counselors’ Association.

Fr. Francis served ten years as a Regular lcd065.jpgArmy Officer, serving in a variety of assignments in CONUS, Korea, and Okinawa. As a young lieutenant, he disarmed a burning nuclear warhead in a major metropolitan area. He also taught on the university level for nine years.

Fr. Francis has successfully pastored parishes in Ohio and Michigan.
